What we can and cannot help with

We are happy to look at a subject that keeps coming up, or to correct something we have got wrong. We cannot advise on an individual tenancy dispute, recommend an agent, or comment on a specific property - we are a journal rather than a practice, and doing any of that properly needs somebody who can see the paperwork.

For a live dispute, your deposit scheme's adjudication service is free, and Shelter and Citizens Advice both run genuinely good free helplines.
